Luis Diaz scored a stunning goal for Bayern Munich on Saturday, extending his individual statistics far beyond any Liverpool striker can currently match.
Diaz slid in to somehow keep Josip Stanisic’s pass in play, before sliding it past Union Berlin defender Jannik Haberer, then slotting home from a seemingly impossible angle.
Despite Bayern’s 2-2 draw with Union, Diaz’s achievements since joining the German giants have caught the eye, especially when taking into account the struggles of the Liverpool side he left behind.
Diaz has 10 goals and five assists in 16 appearances for Bayern in all competitions this season.
By contrast, Alexander Isak has registered just one goal and one assist since Liverpool signed him for a British record £125 million ($165 million).
Florian Wirtz has not scored a goal and provided just two assists since his £116 million ($153 million) move from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer.
Hugo Ekiteke has scored five goals and one assist since arriving from Eintracht Frankfurt in a £69 million ($91 million) deal. Mohamed Salah has four goals and three assists this season.
Cody Jacobo scored three goals and two assists.
Federico Chiesa scored two goals and three assists, while 17-year-old Rio Ngumoha scored his first Premier League goal of the season.
But it means no current Liverpool striker can match the productivity of Diaz, who left for Bayern in a £65 million ($86 million) transfer in the summer.
Diaz has scored an average of a goal every 124.3 minutes this season, a much higher rate than any of Liverpool’s strikers. Chiesa has the best goals per minute ratio for Liverpool at 168.5.

Diaz scored 13 goals in the English Premier League last season as Liverpool were crowned champions.
Arne Slott’s side have struggled since Diaz’s departure and currently sit fifth in the Premier League. Bayern, whose 16-game winning streak ended despite Diaz’s stunning goal on Saturday, tops the Bundesliga.
Diaz is joined in Bayern’s attack by England’s Harry Kane and former Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise.
