The makers of ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay’s swan song Jana Nayagan have released the song ‘Thalapathy Kacheri’, designed as a festive farewell anthem. The song pays tribute to Vijay’s cinematic journey spanning three decades, and includes visuals and references to some of his most iconic works.

The lyric video for the track, sung by Vijay, Anirudh Ravichander and Arivu, begins with Anirudh performing on stage and transitions to Vijay dancing energetically along with a large group of background dancers. The peppy song also features appearances from Pooja Hegde and Mamitha Baiju.

Arivu, who wrote the lyrics, combines the words “Nanba” and “Nanbi”, terms that Vijay often uses to affectionately address his fans. Vijay’s clip focuses on the themes of unity and brotherhood, expressed through phrases like ‘Bhayya Bhayya’, and includes a strong message against caste discrimination, accompanied by images of Karl Marx, Periyar and BR Ambedkar.

At the end of the video, Anirudh asks Vijay to dance “one last time”. Vijay replies: “Sure bro, why not?” The screen then reveals that his final dance performance will only be shown in theaters, building anticipation for the actor’s final film before entering politics full-time.
