Suryakumar Yadav: The first match of the 5-match T20 series between India vs South Africa will be played tomorrow on 9th December at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. Preparation for T20 World Cup starts from 2024 itself – Suryakumar Yadav
During a press conference before the first match of the India vs South Africa T20 series, Captain Suryakumar, in response to a question regarding the preparations for the T20 World Cup 2026, said, “The preparations for the T20 World Cup 2026 had started not from today, but after winning the T20 World Cup in 2024. One or two months before any big tournament, we will not say that hey, the big tournament has come, let’s start the preparations. T20 World Cup “Only after 2024 are we trying new things, and they are working.”
India-Pakistan clash on 15th February
Let us tell you that in the T20 World Cup 2026, the India vs Pakistan match will be played in Colombo, Sri Lanka on 15 February. Apart from this, India’s match will be played against USA in Mumbai on 7 February, against Namibia in Delhi on 12 February and against Netherlands on 18 February in Ahmedabad. The final match will be played on March 8 in Ahmedabad or Colombo.

Kolkata, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Mumbai have been shortlisted in India for the matches of T20 World Cup 2026. Three cricket grounds of Sri Lanka in Kandy and two in Colombo were shortlisted, where all the matches will be played.
