Actors Mahi Fig and Jay Bhanushaliwho have been married for 14 years, made headlines last week as they were rumored to be headed for divorce. According to many media reports, the couple has been separated since the beginning of this year. While their friends and close ones talked about the breakup, neither Jay nor Mahi officially commented on their parting ways. In fact, Mahi last week quashed all the rumors about the divorce being finalised. In her vlog, she also slammed reports of her demanding alimony of Rs 5 crore from her husband Jay Bhanushali.
Mahhi Vij announces his comeback on TV
Amid divorce rumors, Mahi announced her return to television after a 9-year hiatus. In her latest vlog, Mahi talked about starting the shoot of Colors TV show, Seher Hone Ko Hai. She also showed the gift Jay brought her from his recent trip to Japan. Mahi said, “It’s the first day and I’m very excited to shoot again. I feel happy that I got work when I needed it. I wanted to get back on the set. The wait is over, your Nakosha is back.”

Mahi also gave glimpses of the set of the show and shared that she will be playing the role of a mother to a teenager. “We will finish the backlog of scenes left for shooting in Lucknow. Today we will do some patching. I already feel guilty for leaving my children behind. When I got the offer earlier, I turned it down. I was not ready to play a teenage mother. When I wanted to return to television, I did not get any offers. I was earning well through Instagram, but I wanted to act again,” she said. Later, Mahi revealed that Jay Bhanushali brought her Christian Dior lipstick from Japan.
Mahi Vij talks about divorce and alimony rumors
Last week, several reports spread that Jay and Mahi’s divorce has been finalized. Some portals also reported that Mahi has demanded Rs 5 crore from Jai as maintenance. To set the record straight, Mahi said in her vlog: “I didn’t want to talk about this, but I felt that before it gets dirty, it’s better to talk. I’m reading that my divorce papers have been signed. Please show me the papers. Until we say something, no one has the right to interfere in our personal lives. Even though we are public figures, we will only tell you as much as we want. I have a sick mother at home, and three children, and two of them understand what’s going on. My daughter Khushi has texted me and she is reading the reports. They will be questioned about this matter in School, so don’t come into our personal space, I have a lot of responsibilities, and it all hinders their mental health.
Mahi also responded to the alimony rumors and said, “One report claims that I have demanded Rs 5 crore as alimony. Who told you this? I don’t understand what alimony is. For me, when a man works hard, no woman is entitled to that money upon separation. As a woman, I have always wondered why women demand alimony, if the partner wants to take care of you out of love, or if he is good for those who have no source of alimony.” “Income, that’s fair. Recently, a close friend of Mahi told TOI that both Mahi and Jai share great respect for each other. Mahi will never go through any kind of pain and Jai will never demand maintenance. The friend also revealed that Jai and Mahi will take care of their daughter Tara and will also share a friendly relationship.
Jai and Mahi got married in 2011, and in 2017, they took on the responsibility of two adopted children, Khushi and Rajveer. In 2019, Jay and Mahi’s daughter Tara was born. In her latest show, Mahi will be seen sharing screen space with Parth Samthaan and Rishita Rathore.
