Modi says Congress and LDF are dividing society. The Shah conjures the temple of Sita India News

While voting for the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his rallies in Forbesganj and Bhagalpur, accused the mahagathbandhan of dividing the community in the state.

“The Congress and the LDF have committed the sin of dividing Bihar society. The RLD has pushed Bihar into communal riots, the Congress has provoked religious riots… The Congress will never be able to wash off the stain of anti-Sikh riots from the Congress. Likewise, the stain of the Bhagalpur riots cannot be washed away,” the Prime Minister said.

“These riots are the biggest symbol of Congress party’s mismanagement… Those who are practicing the politics of destruction, do not like the development of Bihar. Who knows better than you that due to the bad policies of these parties, the ordinary youth of Bihar have had to face the curse of migration. But the NDA is committed that the youth of Bihar will work in Bihar, and will bring its name,” he added.

In addition to renewing the BJP’s rhetoric against gospathism (infiltrators), the Prime Minister also thanked voters, especially women and youth, for turning out in large numbers to cast their votes, expressing confidence that this meant Bihar was in favor of sushasan (good governance) in the form of an NDA government.

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah raised the issue of Ram Temple attacking the Congress-LDF alliance as well as the larger opposition whose leaders he accused of not wanting the temple to come up in Ayodhya.

“Since Babbar destroyed the temple of Lord Ram 550 years ago, he was stopped first by the Mughals, then the British, then the Congress and then Lalu Prasad Yadav… In 2019, you elected Modi ji as Prime Minister again; he did the bhumipujan in 2019 and then in 2024, he did ‘Jai Shri Ram’ with Pran Pratishtha,” Shah said.

“Lalu, Rahul, SP, BSP, Mamata – all of them were against the construction of the Ram Temple. But today, the glorious Ram Lala Temple towers over the Ayodhya skyline… The glorious Ram Lala Temple has been built; should the Sita Maya Temple be built too or not? … Don’t worry – neither Lalu nor Rahul will be able to stop it. Nitish Babu and I have done the Sita Bhumipujan,” he added. In two and a half years, the magnificent Sita Temple at Sitamarhi will be built at a cost of Rs 850 crore.”
