Director of a company linked to Parth, son of Ajit Pawar, has been named in FIR of ‘land scam’ in New Pune

The director of a company linked to Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s son, Parth Pawar, has been named in another first information report (FIR) in connection with an alleged scam related to government land at Bopodi in Pune.

Praveena Bord, sub-divisional officer of Pune sub-division, filed an FIR with Kadak police station early on Friday, naming nine people, including Digvijay Amarsinh Patil, director of Amadea Enterprises LLP, of which Parth is a partner.

This is the second FIR against Patil in two days. The first case was filed in a case related to the sale of 40 acres of land in Koregaon Park, where the property worth Rs 1,800 crore was allegedly sold to Amadea Enterprises LLP for Rs 300 crore. Although Parth has not been named as an accused in either case, the opposition in Maharashtra has raised questions about his involvement. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday formed an inquiry committee to probe allegations of graft and irregularities in the Pune land deal.

As per the latest FIR, the police have booked Patil, along with Pune city tehsildar Suryakant Yuel (now suspended), Hemant Gawande (power of attorney holder on behalf of Vision Property), Rajendra Ramchandra Vidhwans, Rushikesh Madhav Vidhwans and Mangal Madhav Vidhwans – all three residents of Navi Peth in Pune – Vidyanand Avinash Puranik of Indore, Jayshree. Sanjay Ekbote from Colaba, Mumbai, and Sheetal Kisanchand. Tijuana.

All the accused have been booked under Sections 201, 316 (2), 316 (5), 318 (4), 336 (3), 336 (4), 338, 340 (2), 6 (2) and 3 (5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita on charges of forging an untrue document by a public servant with intent to cause injury, cheating, breach of trust, etc.

It is alleged in the FIR that between February 12, 2024 and July 1, 2025, Yuel, while discharging his duties as Tehsildar, Pune City, at Mamlidar Kacheri of Shukrawar Peth, misused his powers and conspired with other accused to issue an illegal order of possession of about 13 acres of land at Bopodi, under the State Agriculture Department.

Koregaon Park land scam

Digvijay Patil and Sheetal Tejwani were also named as accused in the FIR filed on Thursday for allegedly purchasing 40 acres of land in Pune’s prime Koregaon Park area. The land was classified as Mahar Watan land – a hereditary title to land where the Mahar (Scheduled Caste) community was forced to provide labor for the village administration and the land was given to them – and could not be sold without prior approval of the state government. The total cost of the land was alleged to be Rs 1,800 crore, but it was illegally sold to the company for just Rs 300 crore, besides waiving stamp duty of Rs 5.89 crore.

Joint District Registrar, Santosh Hingani, lodged the FIR on behalf of the Inspector General of Registration at Bavdhan Police Station of Pimpri Chinchwad Police, as the land deal was registered at the office of Sub-Registrar Haveli No. 4, under whose jurisdiction it falls.

Along with Patil and Tejwani, Ravindra Taru, the now suspended sub-registrar who registered the deal on May 20, 2025, has also been booked in this case, under BNS sections 316(5), 318(2), 3(5) and Maharashtra Stamp Act sections.

“Tijwani and Patel, in connivance with each other, conspired in connection with the survey of title of land No. 88 at Moji Mundwa. In Extract 7/12 of this land, the name of the occupant of this land appears as ‘Mumbai Sarkar’. Since this land is owned by the Government, prior permission of the competent authority was required to execute any sale deed of the said property. But it is alleged that Tejwani and Patel, in connivance with Taru, executed the sale deed of the said land without Pay stamp duty due to the government.
