Former BJP founder Ganesh Bidkar will have to try his luck by contesting the election in the open category seat of Kasba Ganpati Hospital Election Commission- KEM where a family member of former legislator and Shiv Sena leader Ravindra Dhangekar is likely to be in the fray. Both Bidkar and Dangkar contested in the OBC category in the previous elections.

Former city MNS chief Vasant More is likely to contest on a Shiv Sena ticket from the Balajinagar-Ambegaon-Katraj Election Commission. City NCP chief Subhash Jagtap has started his online campaign to contest from Shakarnagar Padmavati Election Committee.
