FIFA Best Awards 2025: Dembélé and Yamal prepare for battle again

Ousmane Dembele and Lamine Yamal highlight the list of nominees for the FIFA Best Football Awards 2025 and could be set for another tough battle for the award after finishing first and second respectively in the Ballon d’Or.

Dembele headlined the ceremony held in Paris last September, where Yamal’s father described the decision as “the greatest moral harm to a human being.”

Paris Saint-Germain trio Vitinha, Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes were also nominated, and the English Premier League is represented by Mohamed Salah and Cole Palmer.

Champions League-winning coach Luis Enrique takes the spotlight in the Men’s Coach of the Year award alongside Liverpool’s Arne Slott, with Mikel Arteta and Hansi Flick also nominated.

Meanwhile, the nominees are largely made up of Arsenal, Chelsea and Barcelona stars, with Women’s Ballon d’Or winner Aitana Bunmati topping the list.
