The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Men’s Senior Men’s Selection Committee has selected the India A team for the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Rising Stars Cup to be held in Qatar.
India T20I wicketkeeper-batsman Jitesh Sharma has been selected to lead the 15-member squad with a host of youngsters selected alongside in the squad. Punjab all-rounder Naman Dhir has been appointed as his deputy.
Playing his first T20 since the 2025 IPL season for Royal Challengers Bengaluru two days ago in Hobart, 32-year-old Jitesh made an instant impact with an unbeaten 22-run side leading India to their first win in the five-match series against Australia. Jitesh had a prolific run during RCB’s victorious campaign earlier this year, scoring low-value runs at a strike rate of over 176.
Teenager Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who has set the domestic and age-group charts on fire, also earned his maiden call-up to the India A squad when he was just 14 years old. IPL 2025 superstar Priyansh Arya has also been named in the squad.
The Emerging Stars Championship will be held from 14 to 23 November 2025 at the West End International Cricket Stadium in Doha. India A is in Group B alongside Oman, UAE and Pakistan A.
