On one hand, Chennai Super Kings spent money on uncapped Indian players, while on the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders surprised everyone by buying Cameron Green for Rs 25.20 crore. In the IPL 2026 auction, KKR spent Rs 43.20 crore to buy just two players. KKR bought 13 players in the auction.
Cameron Green and Mathisha Pathirana are the most expensive
The two players on whom Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) spent the most money in the IPL 2026 auction held in Abu Dhabi are Cameron Green and Mathisha Pathirana. KKR bought Cameron Green for Rs 25.20, while Mathisha Pathirana was bought for Rs 18 crore. However, many other teams had also shown interest in buying Cameron Green, but KKR won.
Mustafizur Rahman 9.2 crores, Tejashwi Singh 3 crores
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) not only showered money on Cameron Green and Mathisha Pathirana but also on Mustafizur Rahman and Tejashwi Singh. KKR bought Bangladesh fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman for Rs 9.2 crore and uncapped Indian batsman Tejashwi Singh for Rs 3 crore.
