Chinese director Yi Zhou accused Hollywood actor Jeremy Renner of committing “domestic violence”, sending sexually explicit photos and organizing a “smear campaign” against her. She also claimed that when she confronted Renner about the same, he allegedly threatened to do so Report it to ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement). Yi Zhou shared screenshots of several of her conversations on social media in an attempt to provide evidence to support her claims. Renner is best known for his appearances in the Avengers films.
Yi Zhou claimed that Jeremy “talked to me about having a relationship with him and sold me his love” which is why she did not talk about the “unsolicited pornographic” images she initially received. She said in one post that her “love and respect” was not reciprocated, and that Jeremy began a “smear campaign” against her when she started speaking out. A representative for Renner denied the accusations against him and said: “The allegations made are completely inaccurate and untrue.”
Cho and Reiner’s collaboration began after they began working on the documentary Master of Cinema 2: Chronicles of Disney and the animated film Stardust Future: Stars and Scars earlier this year. Cho claimed that she invited Renner to be part of these projects after she introduced herself to her.

In another screenshot of Cho allegedly talking to a friend, she said she locked herself inside the bathroom after Jeremy “yelled” at her for two hours. She also claimed he was “violent” and she was “concerned” for her safety. Zhou shared multiple photos of Renner at his house to prove that they were in fact dating.
Previously, in a post shared on Instagram, it was implied that the two were in a relationship. Cho shared a photo of them in the car and captioned it, “I knew nothing about Jeremy until I met him in 2025. Not his past, not his present, not his future, just the person standing in front of me. What I’ve learned since then is simple yet profound: Love heals.”
After she shared her allegations, several women allegedly opened up to Cho and claimed they saw Renner act the same way with them. The names of these women have not been announced, and these women have not yet come forward to independently confirm the story. One woman wrote: “You are not alone. He did the same things to me. He claimed he changed after the incident.”
Cho shared another screenshot where she claimed Renner was threatening to call immigration. According to the screenshot, she sent a text message saying: “No one has said anything. Yet.” The text bubble on the other side says, “Immigration will be notified of…” and the screenshot cuts off there.

Renner has also been accused of violent behavior in the past by his ex-wife Sonny Pacheco. The two married in 2014, and Sunny filed for divorce just 10 months later. Renner has denied his ex-wife’s allegations on several occasions, and the two share joint custody of their daughter.
