Recently, Shagun spoke about her love life during an interview with Hauterfly. The actress confirmed that she is dating star Aman Gandhi, who plays her younger brother in the show. She even shared how the two discussed this before signing the show.
She touched on the reports regarding her relationship with Aman, and said: “These are not rumours, this is a fact. We did not start dating on the program, but we were seeing each other even before that.” Earlier, Aman revealed that he has been in a relationship with Shagun for more than a year now. Shagun also went on to share that when she was offered Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Aman was already finalized for the role of Ritik Virani. She even shared how she discussed with her boyfriend whether he was ok with playing her brother in the show.

Initially, no one on the sets knew about Shagun and Aman’s relationship, but after two months, the couple officially told everyone. A few weeks ago, Shagun also appeared on Aman’s show Set Pe Charcha, where she said, “The big reason I am here is because of this human being. We were having many discussions and were going back and forth. Aman and my sister were confident that I should do this role.”
Talking about working together, Shagun said, “Playing your sister on screen doesn’t affect me much. We don’t have scenes where we highlight the relationship much. What I like is that we have lunch together and spend more time together. Our friendship has become stronger.”
Aman also shared that with Shagun’s negative role in the show, he is often asked why he is dating her. Shagun also recalled that she faced some hate from social media due to her role in the show. Shagun and Aman’s dating rumors gained attention after the two shared some adorable pictures on social media on Valentine’s Day this year.
