Liverpool vs. Real Madrid: kick-off time, how to watch, statistics, team news

Liverpool host Real Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday evening, after halting a worrying run of performances at the weekend with a 2-0 win over Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday.

Arne Slott will know that Villa’s result won’t have much of an impact if Liverpool don’t follow it up with a positive performance, but they have some huge tests coming up this week. Following this match against Real Madrid is an arduous trip to the Etihad to play Manchester City at the weekend.

Liverpool have some injury concerns in their squad, with Alexander Isak and Curtis Jones both doubtful, and Jeremy Frimpong and Alisson Becker also definitely ruled out.

Unlike Liverpool, Real Madrid have no concerns about their form. They have lost just one match in all competitions all season so far, winning 13 more. They enter this match with great confidence and are playing great football as well. They followed up last weekend’s Clásico win over Barcelona with a comfortable 4-0 win over Valencia.

It will be a tough match for Liverpool, as Real Madrid’s top players, such as Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham, will go into this match in excellent form.

However, Liverpool will be looking to repeat last November’s result in the UEFA Champions League stage against Real Madrid, when goals from Alexis McAllister and Cody Jacobo gave them a 2-0 win at Anfield.
