PM Modi says RJD put gun on Kunj’s head to PM’s face; Rahul says Operation Sindoor was stopped under US pressure Election news

With barely 48 hours to go for campaigning in constituencies voting in the first phase of Assembly elections in Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the NDA’s offensive on Sunday against the RJD and the Congress.

Promising to take Bihar “further on the path to Vixit Bharat”, Modi warned people of the return of “jungle raj”, “appeasement” politics, “divisiveness” and “infighting” within the mahagathbandhan.

Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and star of the Mahagathbandhan campaign, took over as Prime Minister due to the “stalling” of the Sindoor process. He cited the example of Mahatma Gandhi who “did not have such a big chest” but “never surrendered” while fighting the British.

The Congress leader, accompanied by VIP President Mukesh Sahni, dived into a pond to join fishermen in Begusarai. He said the Mahagathbandhan had created a “special manifesto” for the extremely backward classes, based on everyone’s views.

Addressing the rallies in Bhojpur and Nawada districts, the Prime Minister highlighted the RJD’s alleged strong-arm tactics and its turbulent equations with alliance partners. He claimed that the Congress party was unwilling to accept Tejashwi Yadav as its chief ministerial candidate in Mahagathbandhan and backed down only after the RJD pointed a ‘katha’ (a made-in-the-country firearm) at his head.

“Friends, today, the entire NDA is on its way to unite with the resolve of a forward Bihar. On the other hand, Congress is creating a stir in the RJD. I am telling you a story: A day before the nomination was withdrawn, a game of goondagardi was played in Bihar in the squad room. The Congress never wanted the name of the RJD leader to be on the post of Prime Minister. But the RJD did not care about Goshana and forced the Congress to announce its candidate. It is so disgusting that they will start harassing others,” he said. After the elections, so always remember that these people can never talk about Bihar,” he said.

(“United under the determination of Vixit Bharat, the NDA is advancing. On the other hand, there is a tussle between the Congress and the RJD. Let me tell you the inside story. A day before the last day of withdrawal of nominations in Bihar, a riot took place behind closed doors. The Congress never wanted to name the RJD leader for the post of Prime Minister; but the RJD… kept the katha in the Congress temple and the Congress was not consulted about the manifesto and they were not given a place in the election campaign. Such The hatred is already so much before the elections that they will start breaking each other’s heads after the results. Always remember: Such people cannot do any good for Bihar.

Modi accused the RJD of bringing a “jungle raj” and pursuing a policy of appeasement, attacked the Congress over the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, and accused its members of unleashing a pogrom against people of the community on November 1-2, 1984. He said they had never felt any remorse for their sins.

Raising the issue of “infiltrators”, he accused the Congress-JDF of seeking to “erase the identity of Bihar” through their “stubborn” preference for a policy of “appeasement”.

Stressing that only the united NDA can take the state forward on the path of development, he said the government is planning to develop the birthplace of Veer Kunwar Singh, the hero of the First War of Independence in 1857.

Targeting Mahagathbandhan, he said, “These people are doing yatras in Bihar to support the infiltrators… They have done everything in their power to save the infiltrators… Firstly, these people have created conditions that have made it difficult for the people of Bihar to stay here… On the other hand, they are settling the infiltrators… Their intentions are very dangerous and that is why you have to be very careful of the RJD-Congress.”

“There is a jungle Raj prince here who believes that Congress’ Padayatra Yuvraj has thrown him out… The entire country witnessed how the RJD fielded a candidate against the Bihar Congress president… Rapid development of Bihar can only be achieved through a united National Democratic Alliance… The National Democratic Alliance gives everyone opportunity and respect, but for the people of the Jungle Raj, only their families are above everything,” he said.

Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi criticized the Prime Minister, saying: “The truth is that it doesn’t matter how big your chest is… (Mahatma) Gandhi was fighting a superpower, the British. He didn’t have such a big chest, but he never yielded… There are people who don’t have big chests but still they are not afraid. Then there are those who have 56-inch chests but they are cowards.”

“In 1971, the Indian Army was fighting against Pakistan. The US Navy came and the US President threatened the Prime Minister of India, asking her to stop what was happening in Bangladesh. Indira Gandhi was not afraid and said clearly: Do what you want to do, we will do what we need to do; and she accomplished that. Now, Operation Sindoor is happening. Donald Trump calls…says stop Operation Sindoor and Narendra Modi stops it within two days.”

He said that the Mahagathbandhan government in Bihar will be for every class and will include every citizen. He said the bloc had created a “special manifesto” for the extremely backward classes, based on everyone’s views.

He claimed that the Bihar government was not being run by Nitish Kumar but by “some officers who stay with Nitishji and take orders directly from Delhi”.
