

Shubman Gill: Shubman Gill could not play in the final match of the T20 series against India vs South Africa. In place of Shubman Gill, the team included Sanju Samson as opening batsman. Earlier last month, he had also suffered a neck sprain during the Test series against South Africa. Due to which he was out of the series.
Indian team will be announced on 20th December
The team selection for the T20 World Cup starting from 7th February will be held on 20th December. According to reports, Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar can announce the Indian team through a press conference. In such a situation, many fans are speculating that Shubman Gill, who is suffering from injury, might be left out of the T20 World Cup team. However, now it will be known only tomorrow which players’ names Ajit Agarkar takes in the press conference.
Out of 5th T20 due to leg injury
Regarding the reason for Gill not being included in the team in the 5th T20 match played between India vs South Africa, BCCI said, “Shubman Gill suffered an injury in his right leg during net practice in Lucknow on December 16. The doctor is being consulted and his condition is improving.” BCCI did not say anything about whether Gill will be available for the next match or series or not.
India-Pakistan clash on 15th February
India’s first match is against USA on 7 February in Mumbai. Apart from this, the match between Namibia will be played in Delhi on 12th February, India vs Pakistan match will be played in Colombo, Sri Lanka on 15th February and the match between Netherlands in Ahmedabad on 18th February. The final match will be played on March 8 in Ahmedabad or Colombo.
